Unipart Group win five supply chain awards

Unipart Group has scooped five top supply chain awards including best supply chain company in Europe at major industry events in London.

The Unipart Technology Logistics (UTL) Waterstones partnership swept the board at the European Supply Chain Excellence Awards, winning four awards for best 3PL, Retail and E-Tail, Logistics and Distribution and Overall Winner.

The partnership was recognised for the supply chain transformation that has enhanced the Waterstones’ customer experience across 300 shops, significantly reducing lead time and costs.

Waterstones Managing Director James Daunt said: “These awards are a fantastic recognition of the work and intelligence that has been applied in UTL’s steady transformation of operations at the Burton Hub. It has been grounded in a close and productive working relationship between UTL and Waterstones. We are delighted and proud to be associated with these honours, and are especially grateful for the dramatic improvement in service now experienced by our shops.”

Unipart Logistics in partnership with Hyundai Mobis won the Aftermarkets Parts Logistics award at the Automotive Supply Chain Global Awards in London.

The judges said: “What distinguishes Unipart Logistics from other logistics providers is not just their depth of experience but their passion for engaging and developing their people at all levels in the organisation.”
