Work to build Reading’s biggest cycle parking hub - with space for around 600 bicycles – is well underway. The project began last month on the north side of Reading Station , just off Vastern Road. Councillor Tony Page, Reading Borough Council’s lead member for strategic environment, planning and transport, visited the site on Wednesday, March 23 to see progress being made. The new hub is expected to be finished in April . Completion has been slightly delayed due to unforeseen contamination on the site which has now been cleared. When complete the new facility will be lit and completely covered to protect bikes from the weather.
