Aldi awards iForce long-term e-commerce contract

12 April 2016/Categories: Industry News

iForce has won a long-term contract with Aldi to deliver a range of services for the benefit of the retailer's e-commerce platform.

Although Aldi is primarily known for its food and grocery sectors, iForce will be servicing the non-food section of the business, reports Logistics Manager.

Aldi's plans to launch an e-commerce operation hark back to September last year and now it will be able to see it's new website come to fruition with the help of iForce.

The budget supermarket is using iForce Gateway, a fulfilment solution subsidiary and iForce Pathfinder, a carrier management solution, both of which are from iForce's warehouse in Nottinghamshire.

Jonathan Neale, joint managing director of corporate buying at Aldi, said: "Our e-commerce platform is a key part of our long-term strategy to make award-winning quality at everyday low prices available to as many people as possible."

Chief executive officer at iForce Brian Gaunt commented: "Aldi is a hugely successful, dynamic brand and we are extremely proud to support the launch and ongoing development of its e-commerce operation."
