Autins Group sets up new manufacturing site

27 April 2016/Categories: Industry News

Autins Group is set to open its fifth manufacturing site in Europe as part of its plans to bring new material to the market.

The product is a new high-performance insulation material that joins their other pieces that are lightweight thermal and acoustic, reports The Manufacturer.

Both the automotive and marine sectors use these materials, which has necessitated that Autins take out a lease on a 47,000 square foot factory in Tamworth, near Birmingham.

Solar Nonwovens, a company under the Autins portfolio, will set up home at the new site.

This business also currently has warehousing space in Sweden and Germany, as well in its headquarters in Rugby.

At the factory in Tamworth, Sol Nonwovens will be manufacturing lightweight micro-fibre Neptune materials that will be created with the help of technology from Korea.

Jim Griffin, Autins' chief executive officer, said: "Neptune is a really exciting product offering superior acoustic, thermal and lightweight properties for a range of applications."
