Suttons Tankers has decided not to renew its contract with British Sugar once the current document expires this year.
The company is more interested instead in spending time on its core business in the hazardous chemicals, gases and fuels sectors, reports Logistics Manager.
Although this isn't an issue of service from British Sugar, the termination of the contract also ends an eight-year relationship between the two.
Michael Cundy, Suttons Tankers managing director, said: "We have valued the relationship with British Sugar over the last eight years. It nevertheless serves in the best interests of the company to have a clear focus on [our core] sectors."
Mr Cundy has also said that due to the long relationship between the two companies, Suttons is going to carry out the contract until British Sugar have a suitable client replacement.
