Prominent British company Advanced Supply Chain has launched a new returns service that hopes to be more efficient for retailers.
The business is confident that the service, called ReStore, will help to ensure that retailers will have fewer losses as it is a less complicated returns process.
Ben Balfour, Advanced Supply Chain's commercial director, said: "Retailers are focused on driving revenues up and increasing their sales figures year on year.
"We are looking to educate them that by not revisiting their 'lost' stock, they are haemorrhaging profits and making their business much less stressful."
He added that customers often return items that they've purchased in a manner that means they're unfit for resale, which incurs a huge loss in profits.
It can make the choices for the retailers difficult because they are faced with either having to refuse the customer return or significantly cut down the price of the stock.
