Frutas Montosa, Europe’s market leader of avocado export, and TimoCom, Europe’s largest transport platform, are working together to find new transport providers for the subtropical fruit supplier’s extra pallets of avocados. Frutas Montosa sells 18,000 tonnes of avocados and 7,000 tonnes of mangos per year. TimoCom was employed to assist the Malaga based company with its need to find more vehicle capacity. The company currently exports 75% of its whole production to Europe and loads more than 200 pallets a day which need to be transported across the continent. The exporter had already established a large self-built network, but quickly realised it was not large enough to cover Europe in its entirety and so turned to TimoCom. TimoCom offer a logistics network that boasts over 36,000 verified freight and exportation companies and the IT service provider has now become an indispensable tool for Frutas Montosa’s.
