Liverpool Airport website to offer Skyscanner global flights search engine

22 June 2016/Categories: CILT, Industry News

Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) has incorporated the globally popular Skyscanner flight search engine into its website.

LJLA is the first airport to build and launch a website-based flight search service using the Skyscanner API, which connects passengers to Skyscanner’s flight comparison data.

Skyscanner is an award-winning global travel search engine that compares flights for more than 50m people each month.

Whether passengers want to go to Alicante or Amsterdam, New York or Newquay, booking via Skyscanner on the LJLA website will save passengers the hassle of finding out which airlines serve each destination from Liverpool and then hunting for the best prices from each.

Skyscanner does this for passengers automatically, searching all flights from Liverpool to find the best prices available here.

LJLA launched its new more user friendly website earlier this year and this latest development is a further commitment to improving the customer experience by helping passengers take advantage of flying from Liverpool, with simple access to the lowest air fares available.

Sarah Barrett, marketing director for LJLA, who has led the customer transformation drive, said, “Our faster, easier, friendlier benefits run across all aspects of the passenger experience, including how we engage with our customers to make booking the lowest priced flights from Liverpool as simple as possible via our website.

“By being the first Airport to work with Skyscanner in this way, this is another example of our innovative approach.”
