Of interest to a wide range of members from transport, logistics & transport planning backgrounds, this is a unique opportunity to hear about the plans for the Development of East Midlands Freeport (originally granted in 2021), endorsed by the new Labour Government in the October 2024 budget.

We have three first class speakers, Jon Rawcliffe from East Midlands Freeport & Will Morlidge from the Combined Authority (EMCCA) who will fill us in on the background, history, funding & future plans for the Freeport and its importance to the Local & Regional economy, and finally from our hosts, Maersk where David Kennedy-Browne FCILT will give us the views of a major operator, currently making use of the Freeport & their plans for growth.

The event will be hosted by Maersk from their brand new office complex at their recently opened East Midland Gateway Distribution Centre.

challenges, and potential future developments that promise to redefine logistics and supply chain management.

Michael's journey from real estate and facilities management to being recognised in the ‘35 Under 35’ will provide context
on the evolving career landscape and the importance of adaptability and innovation. Attendees will gain insights into the practical applications of drone delivery and the strategic considerations for integrating this technology into their operations.
