Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply

CIPS, the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply, is the world’s largest organisation dedicated to the profession. We are the voice of procurement and supply and have a global community of over 117,000. Holder of a Royal Charter, CIPS is a not-for-profit organisation with offices around the world. We reinvest our income to advance global best practice in procurement and supply, for the public good. We are the only professional body in the world to set the Global Standard in procurement and supply management, and are the awarding body regulated by OFQUAL in the UK for procurement and supply management qualifications. We promote and ask our members to sign a Code of Conduct for procurement and supply practice. CIPS has called for Licensing the Profession to raise the status of procurement and supply, recognise individual excellence and engender public confidence and is supported in this aim by the United Nations Development Programme.

CIPS Knowledge offers best practice insights, guidance, and tools and templates to support procurement professionals in their roles.
CIPS Knowledge is sourced directly from our members, other associations/institutes, academia or commercial organisations.
All the key procurement topics, skills, and categories are underpinned by the Knowledge Framework which can be accessed through our procurement and supply cycle, or by searching in the CIPS knowledge framework.
Some knowledge is openly accessible to all, in the interest of our public good intentions to support the procurement and supply profession, and some is a unique benefit to our members.
