Monday-Friday 9am-6pm

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to join us.  


As Supply Chain & Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for all repair / distribution industrial automation parts reaching our worldwide customer based within target timeframes.

You will lead and develop a high performing department, therefore should have detailed knowledge around shipping worldwide. You will be in charge of the effective day to day planning of the department’s processes, working closely with the Sales and Production departments to ensure on time delivery of product to customers.

You will be an expert in the field of shipping worldwide, importing and exporting by all means, including the shipping of dangerous goods. 


The role requires you to understand and be able to manage and oversee the following daily duties:

  1. Oversee incoming and outgoing deliveries
  2. Research, prepare and dispatch/export of Hazardous goods e.g. Batteries, canisters
  3. All export documentation certificates of conformance of sealed exports - Advise sales and customers on dispatches to Europe/ROW on HS codes and country of origin
  4. Ensure all documentation is completed in agreement with company and legislative requirements for both imports and exports and procedures are in place
  5. Responsible for the control of strategic goods / software and the goods from orders arising from End User concerns for exports from the UK facility
  6. Give customs clearance on imports
  7. Obtain and use SIEL and/or OGEL licenses where appropriate
  8. Submit applications and declarations using online systems such as CHIEF and SPIRE
  9. Apply for duty relief on goods imported and exported where possible
  10. Negotiate contracts with couriers/freight forwarders to ensure quickest, reliable delivery
  11. Build relationships with the local chambers, freight forwarders, couriers, customs, government agencies, internal and external customers, and other suppliers daily
  12. Provide guidance to the organisation as to the most suitable use of HM Revenue & Customs Authorisations to enable us to remain fully compliant to all HMRC regulations regarding import and export
  13. Implement and champion dangerous goods compliance standards within the organisation
  14. Train and develop of the department in invoicing, packing, dispatching, collections
  15. Coach our Compliance Officers on End-User checks and export licenses
  16. Work alongside colleagues in an open plan office supporting the ever-changing business requirements where shipping deadlines have to be met and the shipping team are working within compressed timescales.
  17. Maintain necessary supplies, cleanliness and orderly flow of shipping areas 


  • Proper operation & visual inspection of Inside Process
  • Inside Process is kept clean and organized
  • Ensure monthly reviews are completed on time
  • Document errors and faults in Management Reporting System
  • Complete projects per required timeline

Required Skills 

  • Expert knowledge of import and export of products to worldwide destinations
  • Have a good understanding of customs compliance / documentation to ensure we act compliantly
  • Remain current with any changes or amendments to import and export activities that may have an effect on the activities undertaken by Radwell

Required Experience 

  • Hold a Degree level qualification in a business-related subject
  • Hold an IATA certificate in Dangerous Goods by Road (or be willing to obtain this qualification during employment)
  • Hold an IATA certificate in Dangerous Goods by Air (or be willing to obtain this qualification during employment)
  • Have relevant shipping and logistics management experience
  • Have a background in freight/logistics
  • Have previous leadership experience 


  • Introductory Review – Will be written at approximately 80 days after employment start or position change and will be used to determine whether employment will continue
  • Monthly reviews – Employee will be given a brief written monthly review primarily focused on quantitative performance and measurement of activity.
  • Annual Reviews – Monthly reviews will factor in as a big part of this process along with attendance, job knowledge, overall performance and dependability. 


This is a salary position with specific scheduled responsibility for the management of a full-time shift Monday-Friday 9:00am- 6:00pm.  It may require additional time as the manager sees fit in order to accomplish goals or to fill in for other managers when necessary. 


The environment is a plant and inventory setting.  Dress attire is casual but professional in a plant and inventory setting.  All employees are required to wear “Radwear” (apparel with company logo) at all times once the initial supply (at company expense) has been received.  Closed-toe hard-soled shoes must be worn.  Safety shoes are recommended when working in the warehouse. Radwell ID badge is to be worn at all times. Employees must adhere to all Radwell Safety Requirements at all times (see safety manual posted online)
