Following on from the success of recent Logistics Outsourcing Lifecycle Events on Strategic Planning, the CILT Outsourcing and Procurement Forum continues to focus on Stage 2 of the Outsourcing and Implementation lifecycle: Procurement and Implementation.

 

 

 

 

  

On 5th February, the forum ran a master class on ‘Procurement and Contracts’ and have now scheduled a further event on 17th September to continue to discuss Stage 2 of the lifecycle, on this occasion focusing on ‘Managing the Outsourcing Implementation’.  As before, there will be a mixture of presentations and expert led discussion workshops.  There will also be a selection of papers related to the topic given out on the day.

The event will include the following speaker presentations and topics: 

  • The Project Management Approach
  • An Outsourcing Case Study

These will be followed by a series of discussion groups in line with the sessions that proved so hugely popular at our last events although more time has been allocated to allow sufficient discussion time.   All discussions groups will be led by a facilitator and written up by the forum committee.   Discussion topics for this event include:

  • IT / processes – issues to be aware of and thoughts on planning and mitigation
  • People – solutions for recruitment, training and transfers
  • Performance & Change Management – how to maintain client performance during the transition period and into the first key periods of new contract management

There will also be an opportunity of a site visit to the Sainsbury’s TU Distribution Centre.  Refreshments and a buffet lunch will also be provided.

This event will be promoted within CIPS and CILT and discount event fees are available to members of both organisations.
