Collaboration event between Bus and Coach Forum and Gatwick Group.

Brighton & Hove Buses and their associated companies have a proud record as leaders in quality bus services, they have the highest level of bus trips per person in Great Britain outside London.  One of the jewels in their crown is the Metrobus Group of services centred on Gatwick Airport.  The County Council has invested in bus priorities and short sections of guided busway with high quality vehicles operated by Metrobus.  Bus stops have been better linked to Gatwick Airport and the railway station in recent years.

In 2021 Fastway will pioneer the operation of a fleet of full length single-decked zero emission, hydrogen fuel cell powered electric buses on Fastway Services and concurrently a new standard for passenger amenities at key bus stops will be introduced.  Patrick Warner will tell us the Fastway story and offer insights into how bus services of the future will become the local transport mode of choice for journeys that cannot conveniently be made by walking or cycling.
