In collaboration with the IfM and Cambridge University, WMR are delighted to invite logistics SMEs and specialists to this step-change event.  Logistics participants will be guided through a self-analysis of their "order winners" and “business constraints”, with the aim of helping identify potential low-cost, high-impact digital solutions for boosting their supply chain business.

The stimulating workshop will include an overview of proven approaches to developing low-cost solutions using off the shelf devices and open-source software. There will also be follow-up opportunities for interested companies to engage directly with the IfM, at no cost, in the development of pilot solutions.

• Accelerate your advantage with digital solutions
• Maximise your success by overcoming barriers

Questions we’ll be answering include:

• What are some simple digital solutions my operation could consider?
• How do I prioritise where to start? in the warehouse, inbound, transportation etc
• Which sections of my business would benefit most from digital solutions?
• When you talk about low cost digital solutions - what do you mean? How low cost?

Participants can expect to gain understanding of:

• Knowledge of different (low cost) digital solution to consider
• How different digital solutions address key issues for the business
• What the priority digital solutions are for the business (and how these compare with the priorities for other businesses)
  

The outputs of the workshop will be combined with those from other similar events to build a data set on the requirements of logistics SMEs, and to inform the development of lab demonstrators, as well as the prototyping/pilot testing of technologies and methods useful for the logistics industry.
