Host: Sharon Kindleysides, CEO, CILT (UK)

Panellists:

Stephanie Ezra , Transport Planner, Mott Macdonald

Stephanie Ezra is a Transport Planner at Mott MacDonald. She joined the industry a year ago after working nearly a decade as an Architect in France. Of which she spent 7 years as a sole practitioner, specialised in retrofitting buildings to face tomorrow’s energy efficiency and environmental needs. Since entering the Transport profession she has naturally gravitated towards projects that encourage active travel modes and seek to reduce our dependency on private vehicles in urban areas. Her natural inclination to ask, ‘what if…?’, and interest in complex systems has led her to get involved in Foresight, visioning and scenario planning work.

Yasmin Wilks, Engineering and Sustainability Graduate, Gist

I began my career in sustainability on a graduate scheme at Gist straight after I finished my Master’s degree in Bioengineering at the University of Sheffield. Getting into sustainability was never anything planned but found myself, when studying engineering, asking questions about how these technologies would affect the world in the long term, and so have always had a keen interest. At Gist I lead our sustainability programme, involving stakeholders from across the organisation, with the aim of reaching our net zero targets.

Charlotte Davis , Graduate Trainee Manager, Wincanton

Charlotte is a Graduate Trainee Manager on the Wincanton Graduate Scheme currently within their Grocery and Consumer sector. Following an early 4 year career working within HR management and pursuing a masters degree in the subject, Charlotte wanted to expand her professional and operational knowledge in an industry that provided a variety of opportunities and experiences.

Bobbie Costin, Customs Broker Specialist, C.H. Robinson

My name is Bobbie Costin and I am a Customs Brokerage Specialist. I have been working in the Freight industry for over 5 years starting as a customs apprentice, going on to obtain three qualifications in business administration and customs compliance as well as being the chair for BIFA London Heathrow young freight forwarders. I strive to encourage young people in the industry as well as engage others to consider logistics a striving career path – some of the ways I do this is by arranging events with speakers, talking withs schools and colleges across the country and promotion on media platforms.
