We have been invited to visit Network Rail’s Operating Centre at Rugby.  The visit will include both the Rail Operating Centre (ROC) and the Signal Control Centre (SCC) next door.

The Rail Operations Centre has two live workstations, Stafford and Colwich, plus the new ‘East West Rail route’ workstation  (Claydon), designed to manage the new rail route being commissioned on 25/08/2024.

The Signalling Control Centre next door has five workstations, controlling the busy ‘West Coast’ rail route from Hemel  Hempstead (Herts) to Colwich (Staffs), more than 100 miles of track.
