CILT has been shortlisted for both the Fleet Safety Innovation Award and the Fleet Safety Partnership Award at this year’s Fleet Safety Awards.
The 2016 Fleet Safety Awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 29th September and CILT is proud to announce its nominations at this prestigious event.
CILT and its Transport and Logistics Safety Forum has been nominated for their work in creating a short film highlighting the need for transport & logistics companies to work together and put road safety at the top of the business agenda.
The Institute has developed its film, Our vehicles, our safety, our responsibility: Improving road safety for vulnerable road users, by converting it into an interactive training programme which is now incorporated into all FORS, ROSPA and other high profile training courses.
The awards recognise the achievements of those working to help reduce the number of road crashes involving at-work drivers.
The Fleet Safety Innovation Award, sponsored by Allianz, is awarded to the fleet service provider or fleet operator that has developed a pioneering approach to fleet safety with greatest success. The Fleet Safety Partnership Award goes to the partnership of a fleet service provider or operator with another organisation that has delivered the most outstanding results to improve fleet safety.
Dean Clamp, Chair, Transport and Logistics Safety Forum, CILT says: “It is an honour to be recognised by these awards for the work our Forum, and the Institute, has done to raise awareness of the importance of road safety within all transport and logistics organisations.
“The film is a unique and creative way for leading transport and logistics companies to work together in raising safety awareness, and we are delighted that it has had such an impact throughout the industry.”
