Eddie Stobart has added a fleet of brand new mechanical offload (MOL) trailers and curtainsiders to its manufacturing, industrial and bulk division.
The new trailers have been designed to meet the future needs of the industry by including a demountable crane which can be operated from the vehicle of the ground, giving operators greater flexibility when choosing the most efficient and safe offload option.
The crane is fitted with a positive rear steer and front axle lift to deliver maximum carrying capacity and on-site manoeuvrability.
Meanwhile, the EN-XL-rated curtainsiders feature a safer securing system that decreases loading and unloading times. Both vehicles and trailers come with additional mirrors, signage, cameras and audio warning systems to fully comply with FORS and CLOCS standards.
Eddie Stobart will also be working with Aggregate Industries to make sure that the new equipment is used in the most efficient and effective way.
Alex Laffey, CEO of Eddie Stobart, said: “Having a highly trained, safety aware, customer-focused team operating class-leading equipment all maintained and presented to the highest possible standards is front of mind here at Eddie Stobart, and this partnership is a perfect example of that approach.”
