First Rail Support, part of First Bus, has rebranded and will be unveiling its new look at this year’s Euro Bus Expo at the NEC in Birmingham.

The company, now known as First Travel Solutions Limited (FTS), has spent the last few months going through a significant makeover. As well as the name change, the company has a new logo and new sub brands for its many services.

In addition, FTS has also launched a brand new website. The new site encapsulates the wide range of managed transport services that FTS offers for airlines, rail companies, corporate travel, conferences, music festivals, sporting events and much more.

One of the new services FTS is showcasing to the industry at this year’s Euro Bus Expo is driver licence checks. The company already checks the driving licences for all First Bus drivers and now offers this service to businesses that require employee licence details verified.

Andy Scholey, Managing Director, FTS, said: ‘The driver licence checks is a great new service we’re now offering to the industry. With a direct link to the DVLA, we can verify and check driver licences quickly and accurately. We’ve already checked more than 15,000 bus drivers for FirstGroup’s Bus division.

“Customers benefit from an online report which allows them to track progress and set up alerts for categories such as penalty points, convictions, photo card expiry and medical renewal requirements.”

He continued: “Most people within the industry will know us as First Rail Support but of course we do so much more than just rail replacement now. We’ve provided transport for the Rugby World Cup and Leeds Music Festival for example and we work with a diverse range of clients including easyJet for crew and passenger movements.
