Kuehne + Nagel manages warehousing and distribution for METRO

Kuehne + Nagel and METRO Cash & Carry have signed a five-year contract for warehousing and distribution services.

In the scope of the contract, Kuehne + Nagel will consolidate METRO assortment and specific goods flow to professional customers under one roof. 

The comprehensive Kuehne + Nagel service package includes goods storage in different temperature controlled zones, quality control, pick-up from supplier, cross-docking, as well as providing value added services including preparation and consolidation of goods for METRO wholesale centers and customers.

The service quality development of product delivery is part of a long-term strategy of METRO Cash & Cary. In the past financial year, the share of deliveries in total sales METRO Group amounted to 12.8 per cent which confirms the importance of delivery as a business growth driver for METRO.
