Entries are now open for an awards ceremony which promises to showcase and celebrate the county’s logistics industry.
Following the success of last year’s first ever Northamptonshire Logistics Awards, the Northamptonshire Logistics Forum will host its second annual ceremony on Friday 12th May at Franklins Gardens in Northampton.
Organised by the Northamptonshire Logistics Forum – an industry led forum facilitated by Northamptonshire Growth Hub- this year’s ceremony will include nine categories and a selection of individual and team awards.
Companies have until 9am on Thursday 20th April to make their nominations via the new Northamptonshire Logistics Forum website – www.northantslogisticsforum.com
Tony Bellott, Chair of the Northamptonshire Logistics Forum said: “Northamptonshire is at the heart of the logistics sector in the UK so it is important we recognise exceptional teams and individuals working in the sector, and promote the excellence of logistics operations across the county.
The nomination process is an exciting time and I have no doubt that some of the stories put forward will be inspiring. It is these stories that highlight just how rewarding a career in the logistics industry can be and help raise the profile of logistics jobs to young people. We are also looking forward to announcing details of our bursary during the ceremony, which is for people in the sector to help further develop their careers.
The Northamptonshire Logistics Awards last year was a complete sell-out and we are positive that with a bigger capacity venue and performances by Northampton College performing arts students, the event will once again be a huge success.”
Sara Homer, Executive Chair of Brackmills BID, added: “We are delighted to be sponsoring one of the categories and are proud to be at the heart of the logistics community. We would urge businesses to enter, sponsor awards and join us in this county-wide celebration.”
Chartered Accountants, MHA MacIntyre Hudson, is the headline sponsor for 2017 Northamptonshire Logistics Awards.
Adam Young, Partner and Head of Transport & Logistics for MHA MacIntyre Hudson, added: “We are delighted to be involved again this year, following on from the great success of last years event. It’s people that drive the sector forward, so it’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the hard work put in by those in all the Award categories.”
