Doddle and Cancer Research UK have announced the expansion of their click & collect partnership with another 50 Cancer Research UK shops set to become Doddle locations before Christmas, with up to 200 due to open by mid-2018.
The partnership which launched in October 2016 in eight Cancer Research UK shops, enables consumers to collect and return their online shopping in convenient high street locations and help beat cancer sooner at the same time.
To date, more than 17,000 online orders have been collected or returned at Cancer Research UK shops, generating thousands of pounds in revenue for Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.
Increased footfall from customers collecting and returning parcels has also driven an increase in donations and purchases in the participating shops. The expansion into new locations will increase the rate the partnership can help fund pioneering work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
The service has been readily adopted by customers choosing Cancer Research UK’s convenient locations to manage their online shopping, so much so that in some locations storage has had to be increased to keep up with customer demand.
The success of the charity click & collect initiative has been recognised recently with the partnership being named as a finalist in the Retail Systems 2017 Awards for Retail Charity Partnership of the Year.
