Coca-Cola European Partners’ associate warehousing director announced as keynote speaker at leading supply chain debate

21 June 2018/Categories: CILT, Industry News, Logistics & Supply Chain

Adding to the roster of high-profile guests confirmed for the SCALA Annual Supply Chain Debate (28 June 2018) – a key highlight in the logistics calendar – Clare Bottle has been announced as keynote speaker.

With an extensive background in logistics and supply chain management, Clare has held a variety of senior positions during her career. In her current role as associate warehousing director at Coca-Cola European Partners, she is responsible for distribution operations at Milton Keynes, Morpeth, Northampton and 3PL sites in Wakefield and Dagenham.

Having previously held roles as national logistics manager at Lafarge Cement and head of courier service at Hermes, Clare has gained a wealth of insight into how brands can show leadership, which she plans to share with attendees during her talk.

Highly skilled at operations management and logistics, Clare was named in The Logistics 100, a finalist in the Service to the Industry in Freight and Transport CILT awards, and a finalist for the Everywoman Team Leader of the Year.

With additional speakers from the likes of Sainsbury’s and Dunelm, the event – now in its 15th year and taking place in the impressive grounds of the historic Coombe Abbey, Warwickshire – invites leading industry professionals to discuss major changes affecting the supply chain sector.

The theme of this year’s event is ‘who is driving developments in supply chain and customer service - retailers, brand owners, logistics companies or technology providers?’

John Perry, managing director of SCALA, said: “For the 15th instalment of our Annual Supply Chain Debate, we’ll be focusing on those that are the main driving force behind developments in our industry. Therefore, when it came to us securing our keynote speaker, we could think of no better candidate than Clare Bottle, due to her wealth of knowledge and expertise in the sector, alongside her dedication to pushing for change. Coca-Cola is a globally-renowned, well-respected brand, and we’re very much looking forward to what is sure to be an engaging talk by Clare, and a stellar event.”

Clare Bottle, associate warehousing director at Coca-Cola European Partners, said: “During my career, I’ve worked with a variety of international brands to help develop their logistics and supply chain management. Throughout, there’s been a common thread in how best to ensure excellence at every stage of the process, and that’s down to brands showing leadership when dealing with their suppliers.

“The upcoming Annual Supply Chain Debate will provide a fantastic platform to discuss this theme amongst other topics relating to our fast-changing industry, with a like-minded, forward-thinking peer group.”

Standard tickets are priced at £135 +VAT, and £95 +VAT for CILT members.
