Unipart Logistics – which is part of Unipart Group, one of Europe’s leading private manufacturing, logistics and consultancy companies – has won a new five-year contract with Volkswagen Group to run their UK aftermarket supply chain.

Around 450 people in the 650,000 sq. ft. logistics hub in Tamworth have transferred to Unipart Logistics.

Unipart Logistics is managing the full aftermarket warehouse operation for Volkswagen Group UK, The operation will service more than 900 retailers and trade partners across the UK for the Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, SKODA, TPS and Volkswagen Commercial brands.

Volkswagen Group is the world’s largest automotive manufacturer by sales, selling almost 11 million vehicles worldwide in 2017. It has retained the title of the largest European manufacturer for the past two decades. VW Group continues to innovate and grow through a huge investment in electric vehicles.
