Clipper Logistics is to provide logistics services for Sports Direct from one of its sites in Peterborough.
The operator said it had signed a three-year contract with Sportsdirect.com Retail Limited to provide logistics services to Sports Direct at and from one of the two Clipper sites in Peterborough.
In a separate development, Ronald Series has stepped down as senior independent director of Clipper “due to a conflict arising in relation to certain new contracts and business developments within Clipper”.
Series, who is also chairman of DX Group, said: “I am disappointed at having to step down at this stage of the Company’s development, but I wish Clipper all the very best in the future.”
Clipper chairman Steve Parkin said: “On behalf of the board I would like to thank Ron for his commitment, guidance and contribution to the development of Clipper since our IPO in 2014. We will update the market on a replacement Senior Independent Director in due course.”
