RCS Logistics rebrands as Rhenus Corby

22 January 2019/Categories: CILT, Industry News, Freight Forwarding, Logistics & Supply Chain

Third party distribution and storage specialist RCS Logistics has been rebranded as Rhenus Corby, reflecting its acquisition by leading European forwarder Rhenus Logistics. The name-change completes the two-year acquisition process, which has seen the Northamptonshire-based business become a fully operational subsidiary of Rhenus UK.

Since the acquisition was confirmed, Rhenus UK has expanded the Corby facility by a further 90,000 sq ft, growing it to 440,000 sq ft in total – making it one of the largest in Rhenus’ UK network.

Speaking of the rebrand, David Williams, managing director at Rhenus Logistics UK, said: “The acquisition of RCS Logistics was a milestone for Rhenus in the UK, and we’re delighted to finalise the process with this rebrand.

“Much has been accomplished by the business since the acquisition was first announced, including achieving British Retail Consortium ‘AA’ status for the Corby facility, and winning a prestigious industry award in 2018 for Rhenus Corby’s ongoing partnership with NHS supplier Ontex.”

Steve Gray, commercial director at Rhenus Corby, added: “Joining the Rhenus family was an important step for our business, opening up whole new service provisions for our client base. We’re delighted to be starting 2019 under whole new branding, and are looking to further growing the scope of our offering across the year.”
