CILT members invited to influence DEFRA Brexit research

25 February 2019/Categories: CILT, Industry News, Freight Forwarding, Logistics & Supply Chain, Operations Management, Ports, Maritime & Waterways, Rail

Chris Sturman FCILT, Co-Chair, Retail and Food Logistics Forum, CILT, is currently Food Supply Chain Resilience advisor to the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA). He is currently reviewing the contingency plans and changes in regulation that are being actioned across the food supply chain in anticipation of a No-deal Brexit. Chris is keen to understand in more detail contingency plans agreed with upstream and downstream to minimise disruption, recognising continued uncertainty until a final Deal is done.

Chris would like to talk with CILT UK members managing Brexit supply chain and logistics issues across the food supply chain, in manufacturing, retail, wholesale and foodservice, with the objective of understanding in more detail what is planned to happen on the ground, to judge the value Government technical advice so far, and how Government can take further action to minimise import interruption and continue to support  UK lucrative export trade. Commercial confidence can be assured through NDAs if necessary.

Chris can be contacted on 07836 590455, 01263 862038 or by email at chris@craymereconsulting.co.uk
