if your business completes customs declarations.
Last year, the government announced a new round of funding for companies undertaking two CILT accredited courses. The grants are available to businesses who are currently involved in customs work, or will be after Brexit, until January 2020.
CILT’s Certificate of Customs Competency and the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) Certified Practitioner courses focus on the practical rather than the theoretical, and are presented by experienced industry practitioners.
The face-to-face training offers delegates the benefit of being able to ask questions about real-life situations they have encountered and to receive immediate answers with practical solutions.
The grants are offered to cover the cost of training up to £2,250 per delegate per course for external training, and up to £250 per delegate for internal training.
The training will give your employees the skills to:
- complete customs declarations
- carry out customs processes – this can include relevant training in safety and security
- help other businesses with import and export processes
Theoretically you can apply for these grants until 31st January 2020, but CILT encourages its members to move quickly on their applications, as it understands that PWC want to receive applications by 17th January 2020.
See below for a full list of CILT’s Brexit customs compliance training courses that will be held throughout the year in partnership with Morley Consulting.
