DHL Supply Chain, the world’s leading contract logistics provider, has started the distribution of 50,000 GAMA Healthcare supplies to NHS frontline staff, as well as other key workers including charities, hospices and emergency services.
The infection prevention products are manufactured by DHL customer and medical supplier, GAMA Healthcare in partnership with Rockline Europe. The products delivered are Clinell Universal Wipes, the NHS’ most used disinfectant wipes, proven effective against human coronavirus.
Deliveries will happen throughout the week to a number of hospitals, hospices, charities and police forces nationwide.
Guy Braverman, MD and Co-Founder, GAMA Healthcare, said: “Everything we do is guided by the desire to keep people safe, and we have been working tirelessly to help the global fight against the disease. With the support of our partners DHL and Rockline, we have been able to rise to the challenges of a surge in demand and get our much-needed products to a greater number of people more quickly.”
Ian Clough, DHL Supply Chain, added: “It’s an honour to be able to use our expertise to support initiatives such as this and be part of a team that’s providing lifesaving supplies to key workers on the frontline. This is a time when businesses need to get behind our national services more than ever, which we’ve been able to do by calling on our extensive transport networks.”
DHL Supply Chain is working alongside the NHS to deliver a range of vital support services in the healthcare battle against COVID-19. The company is part of the VentilatorChallengeUK consortium, and has also been drafted in to manage new supply chains which will support the build and running of the emergency Nightingale field hospitals across the country.
