The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport is pleased to announce that its Annual Conference 2020 will go ahead.
For this year, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, CILT will be moving its flagship annual event to a virtual conference, on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th June.
To ensure that our members can still take advantage of the networking element of the conference, this year’s event will be split into two parts (Knowledge and Networking) with the virtual event taking place as planned in June, and the networking event taking place when it is safe and legal to do so.
Knowledge:
On Thursday 11th and Friday 12th June, CILT will host its first ever Virtual Annual Conference, sponsored by The Open University.
This webinar-based conference will tackle the pre-planned topic of how the profession can achieve the government’s targets for cleaner air, a better environment, zero-emission vehicles and a strong, clean economy by 2050.
The majority of the speakers who were booked to present at the original Conference will be joined by additional keynote speakers and experts across the two-day virtual conference.
The event will analyse vehicle types and choices, alternative fuels, consumer demands and business models to ensure development of strategies to deliver the Route to Zero.
Leading minds from the profession will come together to discuss, debate and understand how individual and organisational choices to implement change and set a precedent within the profession will enable global solutions to the climate change crisis.
A full programme of speakers and topics from across the two days is available to view
online.
Networking:
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 social distancing measures, your Institute will host its Networking part of the CILT Annual Conference 2020 at a later date.
CILT prides itself on hosting events that offer unrivalled networking opportunities. We understand that virtual networking isn’t quite the same as face-to-face communication and are aiming to bring you a special networking event when the time is right.
Booking:
The conference is available to members, corporate members and non-members.
