The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT)’s prestigious Awards for Excellence is being moved from October to March because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The winners of CILT’s 28th Awards for Excellence will now be announced at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London on
17th March 2021.
CILT’s Awards for Excellence recognise and reward the most outstanding achievements by the very best individuals and organisations throughout the profession.
Kevin Richardson, Chief Executive, CILT(UK) said: “Over the last six months, the importance of our sectors has been widely recognised and crucial to ensuring essential goods are supplied, workers can travel safely and the UK’s economy was supported during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“It is important that we recognise the incredible work of those individuals and organisations involved in leading supply chain operations for the movement of goods and people over this time, and that is why we have decided to celebrate excellence with our members face-to-face, when it is safe to do so.
“This is the first time in its history that the awards will have missed a year. However, we believe March’s awards will be the perfect chance for us to celebrate those individuals and services that have proved so valuable and so important to the nation during this unprecedented time.”
Finalists of the 28th Awards for Excellence are due to be announced later this month.
