The Emirates Air Line cable cars that run over the Thames will now offer a “Night Flight” service to enable passengers to take in the delights of the city at night.

Over five million people have travelled on the service since it opened in June 2012, and it has also become a popular spot for marriage proposals. Customer Satisfaction Surveys have shown that the line scores a very high 93 out of 100.

The cars will now run until 10pm between Sunday and Thursday, and until 11pm from Friday to Saturday. There will also be music and video entertainment in the cabins and the terminals. The time of a round trip will also be extended from 20 minutes to 25 after 7pm.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson said: “The Emirates Air Line has been a fantastic addition to the Capital, boosting regeneration in the east and providing a unique way to view our fabulous city.”
