CILT and ITN Productions Industry News have co-produced a second fast-turnaround report series as part of the #HiddenHeroes video campaign.
The second series, Logistics for the Future, showcases how the logistics and transport industry is responding in a huge national effort to meet the demands of the global pandemic crisis.
Logistics for the Future follows companies such as, The Config Team, DHL Supply Chain and Xpediator to understand how they have innovated and improved their operation over the last six months.
During lockdown, The Config Team has launched a pop-up warehouse solution for SAP extended warehouse management and added an analytics solution to their portfolio to monitor KPIs.
DHL redesigned and improved existing operations overnight to help customers re-imagine a supply chain of the future, ensuring all business-critical staff were swiftly trained in new protocols so that DHL remained operational.
Xpediator have been one of the country’s hidden heroes throughout the coronavirus crisis. Demonstrating resilience, flexibility and adaptability during the pandemic to overcome UK and European government restrictions around movement of freight, Xpediator staff went the extra mile to ensure continuity of business whilst protecting their employees.
