It is vital that our profession prepares now for a new relationship with the EU, outside of the single market and customs union.
You are invited to join experts on 12th November for an essential event, cutting through the noise, to give you the tools needed to be ready for the end of the transition period on December 31st 2020.
Leading CILT(UK) representatives on HMRC’s Border Protocol Delivery Group, and two other participants who focus respectively on the Northern Irish Protocol and the Short Sea border (Dover-Calais), will come together to clarify questions and to raise outstanding areas of uncertainty.
The event will tackle topics including:
- UK to EU - Traffic management, GVMS, inland clearance, border activities, ‘check an HGV is ready to cross the border’, market access, Border Operating Model
- UK to EU Customs requirements
- Procedures: Phyto-Sanitary, product certification and inspections, pallet and packaging, veterinary resources
- Northern Ireland Protocol
CILT(UK) has been a leading stakeholder in discussion and consultation with HM Government Border Protocol Delivery Group (BPDG) and has developed a close working relationship with the Cabinet Office and Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC). This has focused on the development of the Border Operating Model which was recently launched. Final regulatory and physical border structures are emerging, to allow industry and commerce to complete operational and administrative planning to minimise supply chain disruption and delay.
