CILT and ITN Productions Industry News have co-produced a third fast-turnaround report series. 

Logistics for the Future showcases how the logistics and transport industry is responding in a huge national effort to meet the demands of the global pandemic crisis.

The third in a series of short reports highlights the vital role of the logistics and transport industry and the work being done by the hidden heroes to meet the demands of the pandemic. While many industries slowed down during the crisis, leading logistics and transport industry organisations saw business ramp up despite the many challenges.  

BT Supply Chain, the logistics and transport network that delivers everything from home hubs for customers to three tonne cables to engineers, is the latest company to take part in this series and the short film demonstrates how the organisation adapted their supply chain overnight, meeting the demands of their customers whilst helping to meet the additional NHS requirements as a result of the pandemic.

The series concludes with a short interview with Kevin Richardson, Chief Executive, CILT(UK). Kevin speaks to ITN Productions about the challenges facing the profession in 2021 and beyond as we begin to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic.
