CILT(UK) is seeking three new board members this summer and is now accepting
expressions of interest from its members.
The deadline for the receipt of expressions of interest is Thursday 15th April 2021.
CILT(UK) Ltd is a company registered at Companies House and a registered charity and is governed by a board of directors who also act as the charity’s trustees.
The board is responsible for the stewardship and governance of the Institute’s activities and for the formulation and monitoring of the Institute’s strategic objectives.
A number of board members are elected by the Institute’s membership for a four-year term. Vacancies will arise in summer 2021 and we are seeking three board members to bring the complement of elected members to seven.
Election to the board is through a process of nomination, qualification review by the Nominations Committee and, if required, election.
The board wishes to attract a broad representation of its members and their interests, and is particularly keen to appoint members whose skills or background include:
- Education/training/qualifications
- Risk/finance
- Governance/legal
- Marketing/communications
- IT/systems/digital
- Thought leadership
Expressions of interest are invited from members of the Institute holding the grade of MILT, CMILT or FCILT.
The role of board member requires commitment and is an ideal opportunity for members to engage and contribute at a strategic level in a leadership role for their professional body. Interests from all CILT(UK) sectors are invited.
The deadline for the receipt of expressions of interest is Thursday 15th April 2021.
Skills will be considered for compatibility with existing board members by the Nominations Committee. If the number of suitable nominations received exceeds the number of vacancies, voting Institute members will be invited to take part in an election on 30th June 2021, with successful candidates taking their places on the board in July.
Key dates and details of candidates for election will be announced in the May issue of Focus and on the CILT website.
