The Border Operating Model (BOM) is the key primer for any organisation involved in the import and export of goods between UK and EU.
This long-awaited update, complete with useful case studies in an associated volume, fills the gap left as a result of the EU-UK Trade and Co-Operation Agreement and the deferment of stages 2 and 3 for SPS imports until 1st October this year and 1st January next year respectively.
The introduction to the updated BOM incorporates a first-rate interactive content listing changes since the last issue nearly a year ago.
Policy Watch in August Focus provides context to the BOM from the very active work of the Institute’s Border Protocol Delivery Group team.
Northern Ireland and a raft of detailed discussions on many topics with our EU colleagues still remain to be resolved.
