Supermarket chain Waitrose has announced the expansion of its click and collect service to ten locations on the country's transport network.
Ambient, chilled and frozen temperature-controlled lockers will be installed at the sites, so that customers shopping online can collect their groceries.
When shoppers place their orders on the supermarket's website, they will receive a text message with a PIN, enabling them to collect their goods from the containers. Orders placed before 11.45 am will be available to be picked up the following day.
The 12-month trial of the service is to take place at sites including Gatwick Airport, four London Underground stations and Green Park Business Park in Reading.
Waitrose ecommerce director Robin Phillips said: "We are very excited to be able to offer our Waitrose customers this innovative service across the transport network which, if successful, we hope to expand further."
