A new survey reveals cars made by German-owned manufacturers are the most satisfying to own and drive.
Seven out of the top ten positions in a customer satisfaction table compiled by What Car? magazine and marketing information services company JD Power were taken by German-owned firms.
The top two places were taken by Volkswagen, with Volkswagen Up hatchback making top spot and the Golf Plus coming in second.
In third place was the Yeti, manufactured by Volkswagen-owned carmaker Skoda.
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class claimed fourth spot, while fifth and sixth once again went to Volkswagen.
The results are based on customer satisfaction ratings compiled this year from the views of more than 15,000 motorists based on models registered between January 2011 and December 2012.
Some 109 vehicles were assessed in total and were judged on a number of criteria including vehicle appeal, upkeep costs and dealer service quality.
