RedR has launched an emergency appeal to support the response to the devastating earthquake yesterday morning. They aim to primarily build off their existing programme on structural damage assessments in the region, but are also scoping out learning needs and capacity gaps to offer more comprehensive support to those responding, too.
They are seeking Trainers with the following profiles to work on the response. They will have more details on the specifics of the assignments in the next couple of days. If you are interested in any of the activities below, please email katie.bitten@redr.org.uk with a brief bio as soon as possible.
- Conducting a learning needs assessment, analysing capacity gaps and learning needs amongst those responding to the earthquake
- Developing or adapting short online learning modules to be delivered to those responding to the earthquake (indicative topics protection, needs assessments, safety and security) (Arabic or Turkish speakers encouraged)
- Developing toolkit/checklist for assessing building damage, delivering training on structural damage and repair (structural or civil engineer required, or individual with relevant technical expertise)
- Coaching and supporting technical seismic experts that will offer advice and support to those responding to the earthquake
