Businesses in Yorkshire are being offered the opportunity to take part in the supply chain for HS2.
Representatives from the high-speed rail link are visiting the Sheffield city region to highlight the opportunities created by the £42 billion transport link. The Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has coordinated an event to outline the potential business benefits.
Simon Carr, managing director at Henry Boot Construction and LEP board member, said: "This event will be an excellent opportunity for local businesses to find out more about HS2 Ltd’s procurement strategy and speak to the HS2 Ltd team face-to-face."
The HS2 Ltd Seminar is scheduled to take place at the AMP Technology Centre in Rotherham on Wednesday April 30 from 10am - 12.30pm.
Progress was made on the high-speed rail link yesterday (April 28th) when MPs voted by 451 votes to 50 to approve the general principles of the bill at its second reading.
