UK logistics developer St. Modwen Logistics has finished construction of a second warehouse for DHL Group at St. Modwen Park Gatwick. DHL, a tenant at the park since 2011, has signed a 15-year lease on the new 115,000 sq ft facility.
The warehouse is set to achieve BREEAM "Excellent" and EPC A+ energy efficiency ratings. It features 1,900 sqm of solar panels to power the 12,000 sq ft office space and enable net-zero carbon operation.
Active and sustainable travel are encouraged with 28 EV charging points, cycle facilities and showers. The landscaped site will deliver 39% biodiversity net gain and new amenities like a trail, cycle path and outdoor gym.
Located near Gatwick Airport and the M23, the park offers transport links to central London that tenants like DHL desire.
Ellen Thomas, Senior Development Manager at St. Modwen Logistics said: “We are proud to announce the completion of our new, sustainable warehouse at St. Modwen Park Gatwick for DHL Group.
