A logistics technology provider has launched a new multimodal tracking service aimed at improving visibility in global supply chains.
The company, Fluent Cargo, claims its solution offers a unified tracking platform that operates across various carriers, transport modes and regions, without the substantial overheads typically associated with such systems.
This Software as a Service (SaaS) offering comes amidst ongoing challenges in global supply chains, including recent disruptions in key shipping routes such as the Suez Canal and the Red Sea.
These events have highlighted the need for improved supply chain visibility and risk mitigation strategies.
Archival Garcia, CEO of Fluent Cargo, said: “In today's complex global trade environment, having clear visibility of shipments from origin to destination is crucial. Solutions like this can help companies be more proactive in managing disruptions and optimising their logistics operations."
The tracking service is now available to Fluent Cargo users on a subscription basis, with plans ranging from entry-level options for small businesses to more comprehensive packages for larger operations.
Users can track shipments by entering standard shipping identifiers such as Master Bill of Lading or Air Waybill numbers.
The service's features include:
- Real-time updates and milestone tracking
- Estimated time of arrival predictions
- Global coverage across multiple carriers and transport modes
- Flexible subscription models to suit various business needs
