XPO Logistics has unveiled a new 4,000m² transport and logistics centre in Nijmegen, Netherlands, expanding its Connect Europe service.
According to XPO, the facility is strategically positioned to ‘revolutionise’ cross-border transportation across the continent.
Located near the A73 and A50 motorways, the hub offers logistics services including palletised goods storage, cross-docking, kitting and re-labelling.
Its proximity to Nijmegen Harbour provides connections to Rotterdam and key European markets, including Germany and surrounding countries.
Luis Gomez, President of XPO Logistics Europe, highlighted the strategic importance of the new hub: "This facility will significantly enhance our ability to provide efficient, reliable, and sustainable transport solutions across Europe.
“By leveraging our extensive network and advanced technology, we're creating a seamless logistics experience."
Willy Hopman, General Manager for the Netherlands, emphasized the expansion's significance and added: "We are proud to announce our new office and cross-dock facility in Nijmegen.
“This is a strategic step to better serve our customers and partners in one of Europe's busiest logistics areas."
The Nijmegen facility will employ 50 staff members and be equipped with solar panels to support commitments to sustainability and carbon reduction.
