A new workshop is being held in the north-east to bolster the region's supply chains.
The Northern Echo reported that the North-East Process Industry Cluster's Business Acceleration scheme (BASME) is to offer local firms free specialist training. Working alongside Hambleton District Council's Evolution Business Centre, the first workshop will be held at the venue in Northallerton, North Yorkshire on January 29th.
Speakers at the conference include Sarah Castle, founder of Think Big Training. She is to deliver a talk on how businesses can develop a strong relationship with their suppliers. The advice will centre around how to utilise sales techniques and also develop unique selling points.
Felix O'Hare, BASME programme leader, said that the workshops "provide opportunities for companies to build on key skills, such as marketing and communications, sales and time management".
The programme has been running workshops since last year and has expanded its operations to cover the north-east, Hambleton and western Cumbria.
