A warehousing company in Manchester has recorded very positive growth figures for the last financial year.
World Freight Centre, which is part of the AKW Group and is based at Trafford Park, increased turnover by 17 per cent to £6.8 million for the year ended June 30th 2013.
This represents an annual increase of £1 million and Tony Worthington, chairman and founder of logistics firm AKW Group, labelled the results as "extremely pleasing".
"[The] success comes as a result of our continued focus on customer service which enabled us to retain our client base and win new business," he added.
Mr Worthington also revealed that the boom in business means occupancy rates at the 500,000 sq ft warehousing site, which is HM Revenue and Customs wet and dry bond approved, has also increased.
As part of its contract packing division, AKW deals with high-end clients such as L'Oreal, P&G, Unilever and Diageo.
