Boeing predicts the Middle East will have high demand for new aviation staff, with 40,000 pilots needed in the next 20 years.
According to its latest Pilot and Technician Outlook, an additional 53,100 technicians will also be required during this period.
Vice president of Boeing Flight Services Sherry Carbary said: "We're seeing a significant, urgent need for competent aviation personnel in the Middle East and across the globe due to the growth in airline fleets."
While this sudden expanse is great for the region's aviation sector, other areas have an even larger demand. Europe, for example, will need 99,700 pilots and 108,200 technicians in the same 20-year period, while the Asia Pacific area requires 192,300 pilots and 215,300 technicians.
This follows after the airline manufacturer received orders for high numbers of planes by airlines based in the region during the opening of Dubai Air Show (November 17th). It sold 259 of its new 777X, which it claims is the first twin-aisle aircraft to achieve so well at launch, as well many of its 787-10 Dreamliners.
