Emirates - one of the fastest-growing airlines in the world - has added another award to its impressive collection, as its SkyCargo division was named the Cargo Airline of the Year 2013.
The event is referred to as the Oscars of the air freight industry and is aimed at recognising excellence in the sector. This is the 30th year the prize-giving has been held and it is taken very seriously by logistics companies all over the world.
Emirates was also hailed as the Best Middle East Cargo Airline for the 25th consecutive year during the plush ceremony at the Lancaster London Hotel.
The awards - which are organised by Air Cargo News - seek votes from across the industry, so any organisation that scoops an accolade can take comfort in the fact they have impressed their peers.
Dubai-based Emirates continues to expand at a rapid rate and it recently secured a high-profile partnership with fellow global heavyweight Qantas, which will see the introduction of more new flights between Australia and the United Arab Emirates.
