Plans are beginning to take shape for the second European Supply Chain Day. The event, which took place for the first time last year, is a unique opportunity to promote and raise awareness of the ever-increasing opportunities in the logistics profession.
Events will be taking place on April 16th throughout Europe, including: Germany, Switzerland, Luxemburg, Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium.
Steve Agg FCILT, Chief Executive, CILT, said: ‘This is the second time we will be celebrating European Supply Chain Day here in the UK. This event is an ideal opportunity to raise the profile of our profession. With the increasing demands being placed on our industry and our consequent need to fulfil new positions, it is important that we make the most of this opportunity to raise awareness of the career opportunities available to all in logistics. Let’s work together to make this the international logistics event of the year.’
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport is the primary contact for all events taking place in the UK. For inspiration about what you could do as an individual or as a business on the day, view the European Supply Chain Day 2015 brochure here.
All levels of participation are encouraged, if you have an idea for an event and would like to discuss your plans further please contact Hayley Rogers at the Institute on, tel: 01536 740160 or Hayley.rogers@ciltuk.org.uk or visit: /supplychainday
