Major road improvement works have been completed by Transport for London (TfL) at Malden Rushett, Kingston.
This comes as part of the organisation's wider £4 billion Road Modernisation Plan, which is intended to ensure roads in the capital provide a safe and pleasant travelling experience.
Work at Malden Rushett began last September and is expected to significantly reduce congestion at the reopened junction of the A243 Leatherhead Road, B280 Fairoak Lane and Rushett Lane.
TfL director of road space management Alan Bristow said he is delighted the work has been completed, so that business reliant on the road can resume without further disruption.
Lead member for environment and transport at Kingston Council David Cunningham said: "These improvements are most welcome as they should significantly improve traffic flow and safety. I would like to thank residents for their patience while TfL carried out the work."
